Based in Normandy, near Mont Saint-Michel, Filt has specialized in knitted shoulder or handbags since 1860 with patented designs.

Historically, these bags have been used by generations of mothers and grandmothers as a traditional market bag. They stretch to accommodate a wide range of groceries and items of various natures and can withstand an extreme amount of weight. Each yarn is traditionally dyed in northern France and then knitted and sewn in the Caen factory.
